We are honoured to have received funeral donations in memory of Bea Jaspars, raising at least £375. She and her daughter, Susanne Jaspars, chose Enfield Refugee Welcome as the charity for donations because Bea spent much of the second world war in a Japanese concentration camp in Indonesia and was dependent on the help of others when she returned to the Netherlands (her home country ) with nothing. Bea moved to Oxford in 1977 and to East Barnet (on the border of the borough of Enfield) in 2013 to be close to her daughter.
With huge thanks to the friends and family of Bea Jaspars for their generosity.
